Oh the weekend, the glorious weekend.... It was fabulous!!! Saturday was boring, work, gym, groceries, cook, laundry... (i am going to make a fantastic domestic goddess wouldn't ya say?) but Sunday was wonderful!! i met up with friends in the city for Afternoon Tea at the Windsor Arms! It was truly delightful, yummy and great! we had lovely earl grey tea with Lavender!!! It was so good! Thankfully we were hungry so all the food that came was devoured!! and the scones.... and the fresh berries with whipped cream.... we were so full by the time we finished. The conversation (although at times was inappropriate) was fun, lighthearted and interesting. JDog and Que Si always make the tea experience a good one! Then we went for a manicure at Buff Nails. My nails still look good. i found out that i need to use a nail hardner because my nails are so week/soft and that i should be using a crystal nail file. Apparently it's about 10 bucks but probably well worth it. i am willing to give it a try. The evening was spent chatting about life, watching a movie "Flight Plan" and eating Chippy's fish and chips!! yum yum! But sadly i agree with JDog; am going to have to branch out and dine at other places in the T. Next time i think we're going to Supermarket . I guess i've got to branch out... Then it was time to go home. But the day was definitely well spent! it's the kind of day that makes you feel rejuvinated!!!!!!

I did have an intersting highway experience while heading down to see my T.O. girls... while driving on the 427 south, i noticed a big red truck behind me. Granted i was in the fast lane but i needed to be there so i just accelerated. Well, the truck ended up changing lanes as we exited on to the Gardiner. Then he sped up in front of me and carried on. I was doing my own thing, bopping to music and concentrating on driving and I ended up passing the truck yet again. The next thing i know, the truck is on my left side and staying parallel to me. at first i thought that i was paranoid but when i looked over, i could see that someone in the truck was motioning to me. I thought that perhaps this truck was angry with me for not moving out of the fast lane so i was being v. cautious and not opening my window. Finally, the person opened their window and so did i. Turns out that the driver wanted my number!!!!!! so, here are driving "neck and neck" on the Gardiner and i'm yelling out my mobile digits to him!! who knows if he even heard me clearly. i'm not holding my breath and waiting for a call. but it was definitely a first for me. Maybe one day i'll tell my grand kids about this highway encounter!

oh, but look, appeals are staring me in the face... time to do some work. i have lots to do. i wont' be staying late tonight either as i'm having dinner with the hens. there will be lots to talk about so it will probably be a late night so i'm sure i'll be tired tomorrow. i might work late too... we'll see..
